Style: Shoulderless Mules
For me, I am a budget shopper (many may disagree, but it’s true). Finding the best sales is one of my strengths.
Two main trends that are very popular is:
- Off the Shoulder look
- Mule Heels
What better way than to showcase these trends for a day and night look? I was absolutely inspired by a picture that a friend showed me of Rihanna. She was wearing a stripedoff-shoulder top w/ bell sleeves (designer: JACQUEMUS) and paired it with ripped boyfriend jeans and a nice pair of beaded nude pointed pumps (designer: Rene Caovilla). So, I decided to create an affordable look.
For the first look, I decided to use my favorite black striped button-down shirt and paired it with my favorite metallic trousers. I found a pair of black mules in my closet that I have never worn and loved the way they look with this outfit. What do you think?
I purchased this button down shirt from H&M for only $7, however, the trousers are a little pricey from Topshop. The best part is to invest in statement pieces and save on the simplistic ones.
This outfit is super comfy. If worn out, pasties is a “must-have”. This is definitely a look that you can wear out to brunch with “the girls” or even to a day time art event. I am definitely here for it. What do you think? Comment below.

For my second look, I wanted to go for a dark look. I decided to use my distressed denim jacket and pair it with a raw hem pencil skirt, created by a dear friend of mine (check him out here). I used a belt that was attached to a different jacket, instead of using an actual belt. I wanted it to make sure it was long enough to tie.
If you are not really “into” investing in a distressed denim jacket, you can definitely purchase a cheaper black denim jacket and create the amount of rips yourself (cheaper option listed below). Just make sure it has an oversized fit to it.
I am all about budget shopping. You have to think “smart” when picking out pieces. Think about ‘what all can you wear with it’ and ‘can you dress it up and down?’ You want to be able to take anything in your closet and use that item to create different looks.
“I’m not rich. I smart shop.”
