NYFW Day 4: Vivi Zubedi x CHOCHENG

It is Day 4 of NYFW and I am ready for this raining weather to conclude. Today, I planned to only attend 2 shows — Vivi Zubedi and CHOCHENG! Must I say, they were amazing!

For today’s outfit, due to the rainy weather, I decided to go for a more relaxed feel. I wore an oversized cream knit sweater and olive trousers along with my Edge of Glory thigh high boots from Nasty Gal. I wore braids with beads during my Afro Punk experience and had to bring this style to New York.

3pm: My first show for the day was designer Vivi Zubedi. I have honestly never heard of this designer before but super excited that I was able to go. Vivi Zubedi is a muslimah fashion brand that provides updated and newest design of Abaya. Each model, wearing a hijab, were very modernly fashionable. I loved that Zubedi incorporated custom fitted hats into multiple looks.

I always find myself checking out all the cool pieces that people are wearing on the front row.

After the show, I stumbled upon this presentation event from: Angela Mitchell.¬†Angela Mitchell is a brand that creates Luxury Italian Footwear, adding a Swarovski crystal on each pair. Additionally, supportive padding has been integrated into Angela Mitchell insoles, providing comfort to the pressure points of the foot. This event was absolutely amazing (besides the free wine/cocktails and hors d’oeuvres).

9pm: The next show in which I attended was designer Chocheng. Chocheng is a womenswear designer label launched by designer Cho Cho Cheng. Cheng attended Parsons school of design, studying fashion and costume design. The theme of this show was: Auntie Mame (1958) and the collection was inspired by 1950’s musicals, orchids, british tailoring, equestrian jackets and glamour.
